"I can't decide how many regular swap meet spaces I need. "

We will not have oversize/half spaces. End to end length of vehicle and trailer must be equal to or under space(s) purchased. We WILL the measure day of show at the registration booths. Vehicles not physically contacted must fill out two forms.

Example 1: You have a truck and trailer with a car to sell on it. Measure from the front bumper of truck to rear bumper and that is 19 feet. Then add distance from the trailer ball hitch to the back end of the trailer and that is 18 feet. The total is 37 feet. You would pay for two 20'x20' spaces.

Example 2: you have a truck and small trailer.. Measure from the front bumper of truck to rear bumper and that is 18 feet. Then add distance from the trailer ball hitch to the back end of the trailer and that is 10 feet. The total is 28 feet. You would pay for two 20'x20' spaces.

"What if I want to drop off parts in the swap meet section."

To get into the park you must be a paid show car or a swap meeter.

Explanation: If we let vehicles enter and exit to drop off parts it becomes a burden to make sure they leave the premises. This extra effort could be spent helping the paid entrants. It also slows down the registration areas for the people that are paying to get in and participate.

"What if I want to drop off a car for show and take my truck to the swap section?"

This is fine. You pay for your car show entry and you pay for the swap meet space.

"Why can't the swap meet sellers get in earlier?"

We let the swap meet sellers in at 7:30 a.m. And then display show cars in at 8:00 a.m. as listed in the flyer. Sometimes we are able to let registration start slightly before that.

Explanation: This is so swap meeters can get set up before the show car enter. C.P.W. member volunteers arrive at the park in the early hours of the morning darkness. Our task is to transform a recreational park into a massive car show venue on grass all that morning. This transformation takes some time. We make sure everything is in place before we let people in. If we did not take this care, we could have breakdowns in the flow of entrants coming in. You would get in even later. We start to let everyone in at the same time.

"When can I come line up to get in the show and/or swap?"

The gate to the park and park parking lot is closed overnight. Trespassers are subject to the L.A.P.D. 'Nuff said. Swap meet is let in first at 7:30 a.m. and then show cars are let in at 8 a.m

"Can I park with my friends and/or other car club members?"

Yes, but you have to be near each other in line. Cars are parked on a first come first served basis. Everyone being treated as equally as possible. If someone arrives with you on Woodley Ave., you will come in together naturally.

Explanation: If we saved spaces for people, there would be parking gaps in the show parking. Also, cars coming in through the rows trying to find their saved space can create a traffic mess. This slows down the waiting line on Woodley Ave. How would you feel if you came hundreds of miles to the show and you had to wait on people driving around the show looking for there friends? It's all ready hard enough trying to park the cars. We want everyone to have an opportunity to enjoy the show.

"Can I put up a tent in the car show parking?"

No. Large Tents or EZ-Ups are prohibited in the show parking area for Fall Fling IV.

Explanation: Our liabilty insurance does not cover large tents in the car show area. Large Tents or EZ-Ups can be picked by the wind and can fall back to the ground damaging other participants fine Mopars. These are cars that owners have put countless hours, sweat, and money into. Would you like a tent to fall and scratch or dent your car? Or worse, come crashing down to earth on one of your loved ones. Also tents can take up much needed space in the show parking area.

"Can I bring my dog?"

It is recommended that you do not bring pets to the show. If you have to, they MUST be on a leash.

Explanation: There is a lot of foot traffic at the show. A pet could get lost easily and are very hard to control in a large event like this. A pet may not be used to the large amount of people at the show. Other show participants my not be accustomed to pets. There are a lot of rare and delicate vehicles and parts that other participants would not appreciate a pet being near.

"Who puts on Fall Fling V?"

This may seem like a crazy question, but we get it all the time. Chrysler Performance West Car Club members volunteer their time and effort to put on all the Fall Flings for the past 4 years. We put this show on in addition to our Spring Fling shows. Many members have been doing so since the predecessor to Fall Fling, the Westoaks Show. We arrive at the park when it's still dark in the morning and tranform this recreational park into a massive car show venue all in the morning. We leave thoroughly exhausted around 5:00 pm if we're lucky. Since we're working all day, most of us rarely get a chance to see much of the show or check out he swap meet. C.P.W. members are already working on the next Spring Fling, so Fall Fling is designed to be not as involved so to give our members a chance to check out the show. Preparation for our shows are year round. If you appreciate the show, please tell a C.P.W. member! He or She has put in a lot of effort for you to have a good time.
